These Terms and Conditions apply to all services and activities provided by FactWise, operated by CIS BV, with registered office in Belgium.
By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Scope of services

FactWise provides:

  • consultancy services in statistical problem solving and evidence integrity
  • masterclasses, workshops, and training sessions
  • independent reviews of data, claims, and analytical approaches

Unless explicitly agreed in writing, services are provided on a best-effort basis, reflecting professional standards and expertise, without guaranteeing specific outcomes.

Services are advisory in nature and aim to improve understanding, decision-making, and evidence integrity. FactWise does not provide legal, medical, regulatory, or financial advice, nor does it replace internal management, engineering, quality, or compliance responsibilities.

Conclusions are based on the data, information, and assumptions available at the time of analysis and are subject to inherent uncertainty and limitations.


3. Information and content on the website

All information on the FactWise website is provided for general and informational purposes only.

While we strive for accuracy and clarity, website content:

  • does not constitute professional, legal, medical, or financial advice
  • may be updated or changed without prior notice

FactWise is not liable for decisions made based solely on website content.


4. Engagements and contracts

Specific services are governed by:

  • a written offer, proposal, or agreement, and
  • these Terms and Conditions

In case of conflict, the written agreement prevails.


5. Client responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • provide accurate, complete, and timely information
  • ensure they have the right to share data provided to FactWise
  • remain responsible for final decisions based on analyses or recommendations

FactWise cannot be held responsible for outcomes influenced by incomplete or incorrect information.


6. Fees and payment

Fees are:

  • communicated in advance
  • exclusive of VAT, unless stated otherwise

Invoices are payable within 14 days of invoice date, unless agreed otherwise.

Late payments may incur statutory interest and administrative costs in accordance with the Belgian law.


7. Cancellation and replacement

Consultancy services

Cancellations or rescheduling must be communicated in writing as soon as possible. Specific terms may be defined in the individual agreement.

Masterclasses

  • Registration for a masterclass is binding upon submission of the registration form.
  • Participation fees are payable within the period stated on the invoice and must be settled prior to the masterclass date.
  • Cancellation by the participant must be communicated in writing via email to info@factwise.be.
  • The following cancellation conditions apply:
    • Cancellation up to 14 calendar days before the masterclass: no cancellation fee.
    • Cancellation between 14 and 7 calendar days before the masterclass: 50% of the participation fee remains due.
    • Cancellation less than 7 calendar days before the masterclass: 100% of the participation fee remains due.
  • A registered participant may at any time be replaced by a colleague from the same organisation at no additional cost, provided this is communicated in writing before the masterclass.
  • FactWise reserves the right to postpone or cancel a masterclass in case of insufficient registrations or force majeure. In such case, the participation fee will be fully refunded. No additional compensation shall be due.
  • These masterclasses are intended for professional participants. The statutory right of withdrawal applicable to consumers does not apply.

8. Intellectual property

All materials provided by FactWise (including presentations, reports, models, and training materials) remain the intellectual property of FactWise, unless explicitly agreed otherwise.

Materials may not be reproduced, distributed, or reused without prior written consent.


9. Confidentiality

FactWise treats all client information as confidential and uses it solely for the purpose of delivering the agreed services.

Confidentiality obligations do not apply to information that:

  • is publicly available
  • was lawfully obtained from a third party
  • must be disclosed by law or court order

10. Liability

FactWise’s liability is limited to:

  • the fees paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim

FactWise is not liable for:

  • indirect or consequential damages
  • loss of profit, data, or business opportunities
  • decisions made by clients based on analyses or training

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is not permitted by law.


11. Data protection

Personal data is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy published on the FactWise website.


12. Force majeure

FactWise is not liable for failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to illness, technical failures, or force majeure events.


13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Belgian law.

Any disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Belgium.


14. Changes to these Terms

FactWise may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be available on the website.
